Kahawatte factories continue to establish all time record prices.

At this week’s tea auctions, a line of BOPF Sp from Craighead Estate established an all time record price of Rs. 600 per kilogram which surpassed the previous all time record price of Rs. 580 per kilogram. This line of tea was purchased by Uniworld Teas Ltd. The Queensbury Mark too equalled the all time record price of Rs. 630 per kilogram for a Western High Grown FF1 grade at this week’s tea auctions. This line of tea was also purchased by Uniworld Teas Ltd. Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers Ltd. conducted the sale of these two lines of tea and is the sole broker for these two marks. Gordon sets an all time record price At this week’s tea auctions, a line of FBOP grade from Gordon Estate established an all time record price of Rs. 580 per kilogram  in the Uda Pussellawa Elevation category. This surpassed the previous all time record price of Rs. 570 per kilogram. The buyer of this line of tea was Commercial Exports Company. Gordon estate is managed by Stallion Plantations Ltd. Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers Ltd. conducted the sale of this line of tea and is the sole broker for Gordon Mark.
