Kalubowitiyana PF1 establishes all-time Tea record price for CTC Low Grown

At the Tea Auctions concluded this week, four invoices of Kalubowitiyana PF1, sold through the catalogue of Lanka Commodity Brokers Ltd., achieved an all-time Colombo Tea Auction Record Price of Rs. 720, which betters the previous record price of Rs. 700 established at the previous sale. The first three invoices were purchased by Empire Teas Ltd., whilst the fourth invoice was secured by Regency Teas Ltd.
Kalubovitiyana Tea Factory is managed by the Ministry of Plantation Industries and the teas manufactured in this factory are keenly sought after by a wide cross section of buyers operating at the Colombo Auctions in view of the exceptionally high quality standard of the teas.
