The Kiruwanaganga tea factory situated in Deniyaya achieved yet another record price of Rs. 830, surpassing the previously held best of Rs. 800 for a BOPF SP grade.
The tea was purchased by Mabroc Teas Ltd. at the tea auctions held at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce yesterday.
Kiruwanaganga Estate is managed by Talawakelle Tea Estates Plc. The sale was conducted by Tea Broker John Keells Plc.
