Kotiyagala Estate achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 690 for a FNGS1 grade in the Western High Grown category at the weekly tea auctions held on 10 January 2017. This line of tea was purchased by M/s Tea Tang Ltd. and marketed by M/s Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers Ltd.

Kotiyagalla estate is situated in the Bogawantalawa planting district at an elevation of 1,390 metres above sea level. This estate is certified under ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System, ISO 22000-2005 Food Safety Management System, Ethical Tea Partnership and fair trade labelling organisation.
