Cee Tee Hills sets all-time record price for PF1 grade
Four lines of PF1 Grade from Cee Tee Hills Factory established an all time record price of Rs. 720 per kilogram which surpassed the previous all time record price of Rs. 700.
Cee Tee Hills Tea Factory is a state-of-the-art CTC factory certified under ISO 22000 Food Safety and Management Systems, is situated in the Deniyaya planting district in the deep south.
The factory is owned and managed by the Southern Group of Companies.
The two lines of record-priced tea were purchased by Empire Tea Ltd., one line by Akbar Brothers and the other line by Classic Teas Ltd.
Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers who is the sole broker for Cee Tee Hill mark conducted the sale of all four record breaking lines of tea.
Kalubowitiyana continues establish all-time record prices
Kalubowitiyana Tea Factory the first CTC factory to be built in the Southern Province and which has been the best selling CTC mark in the country for several years established all time record price of Rs. 720 per kilogram for two lines of PF1 Grade along with Cee Tee Hills Factory at this week’s Tea Auctions.
These two lines of tea were purchased by Empire Tea Ltd. and Regency Teas Ltd. respectively.
Kalubowitiyana Factory is owned by Kalubowitiyana Tea Factories Ltd. coming under the purview of Ministry of Plantation Industries.
The sale of these two record breaking lines of tea was conducted by Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers Ltd.
Craighead in the record books once again
Craighead the best selling medium grown orthodox mark established an all time record price of Rs. 760 per kilogram for a BOP grade in the Western Medium Elevation Category in the ex-estate catalogue at this week’s tea auctions. This surpassed the previous record price of Rs. 740 per kilogram.
This line of tea was purchased by Union Commodities.
Craighead is owned and managed by Kahawatte Plantations PLC. The factory, managed by this RPC, is one of the best selling Medium Grown Orthodox Tea factories.
Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers Ltd., who is the sole broker for Craighead mark, conducted this record breaking sale.
Harangalla equals all-time record price
Harangalla Mark, which is a recognised mark for manufacturing quality medium grown tea, equalled the all-time record price of Rs. 760 per kilogram for a BOPS grade at this week’s tea auctions. This line of tea was purchased by Union Commodities.
Haranagalla is owned and managed by Harangalla Teas Ltd. The sale of this line of tea was conducted by Forbes and Walker Tea Brokers Ltd.
Craighead equals all-time record price
Craighead Mark which accounts for several all time record prices in the western medium grown elevation category equalled the all-time record price of Rs. 1250 for a BOP1 Grade at this week’s Tea Auctions. This line of tea was purchased by J-Cey Tea Ltd.
Craighead estate is owned and managed by Kahawatte Plantations PLC who mange the best selling orthodox marks in the western medium elevation category.
The sale of this line of tea was conducted by Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers Ltd. who is the sole broker for Craighead Mark.
Mount Vernon equals own record
At this week’s auctions, two lines of PF1 Grade from Mount Vernon Mark equalled the all-time record price established them the previous week with a price of Rs. 530 per kilogram. This establishes the fact that the consistency in quality of Mount Vernon Teas CTC Tea has been recognised by the trade.
These two lines of tea were purchased by Uniworld Teas Ltd.
Mount Vernon, which is situated in the famous Dimbula Valley produces over 1 million kilograms of CTC tea per annum, is certified under the ISO22000:2005 Food Hygiene and Management systems.
Mount Vernon is owned and managed by Kotagala Plantations PLC.
Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers Ltd. conducted the sale of these two lines of tea.
