Mulatiyana Tea Factory situated in Mulatiyana, managed by K.H.G Mahinda Padmasiri and Malinda Padmasiri, achieved two all-time record prices at the weekly tea auction of 1 August by securing an attractive price of Rs. 1,170 per kg for OP1 and Rs. 960 per kg for OP in the Low Grown category. The teas were purchased by Qualitea Ceylon Ltd. and Vintage Teas Ceylon Ltd. respectively. The sale was conducted by Ceylon Tea Brokers Plc.
