New J.S.P. Tea Factory BOP grade brews best-ever price

At the Tea Auctions held on 3 September, 2013 an invoice of New J.S.P. BOPF achieved an all-time Colombo Tea Auction record price of Rs. 760 per kilogram for the Low Grown category. The teas were actively pursued by many leading buyers in view of the useful quality of the leaf appearance and liquors and the ultimate buyer of this invoice was Imperial Teas Ltd., a leading buyer of Low Grown teas for the Middle East and Russia. The teas were sold through the catalogue of Lanka Commodity Brokers Ltd.
New J.S.P. factory is situated in Matugama in the Kalutara district and the factory machinery have been regularly upgraded in order to produce quality teas that cater to the top standards of buyers operating at the Colombo Tea Auctions. This factory is owned by Piyasoma Jayasinghe and is managed by his son Saranga Jayasinghe.
