New record price for Uva High Grown Tea

An invoice of Oodoowerre Estate, Demodara achieved a new record price for Uva High Grown OP grade at Rs. 670 per kg, at the Colombo Tea Auction held on 31 January and 1 February 2017, breaking its own record of Rs. 650 per kg for this type of tea.

Oodoowerre Estate is owned by Hapugastenne Plantations Plc. This tea was purchased by Euro Scan Exports Ltd, Asia Siyaka Commodities said.
