Pedro Estate situated in Nuwara Eliya has established an all time record price at the weekly tea auctions held on 15 August 2012 by securing an attractive price of  Rs. 600 for a  BOPF  grade.

This price has surpassed the previous record of Rs. 500, which was established by the same estate in 2011. This line was purchased by Mabroc Teas.

Although the quality season for Pedro falls in to the Western quality season, which comes from January to March, Pedro also benefits from the Eastern (Uva) quality season as  major part of the estate and the factory is located on the boundary of the eastern section of mountains, enabling Pedro to produce a good quality tea  throughout the year.

Pedro Estate is managed by Kelani Valley Plantations PLC and John Keells PLC is the tea broker for the produce of this estate.
