Public seminar on enhancing living standards, livelihood opportunities in plantations

The Pathfinder Foundation (PF) a non partisan advocacy and research institution will hold a public seminar on improving living standards and livelihoods in the plantation sector on 23 May from 1:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. at the BMICH Committee Room F. Ministry of Estate Housing, Infrastructure and Community Development Former Secretary M. Vamadevan will present the findings of his analytical study on the subject while the eminent panelists, Ven Baddegama Samitha Thero, Rev. Fr. Andrew Devadason and Open University Senior Lecturer S. Chandrabose will make their own observations. The meeting will be chaired by Pathfinder Foundation Chairman/Ministry of External Affairs Former Secretary Bernard Goonetilleke who will also be making his comments and observations on the study and topic. The Open Forum at the end of the presentations will provide an opportunity for the audience to have a dialog with the presenters and provide their feedback.
