Sirimewana Tea Factory, situated in Thalgaswela and managed by K.H.G Mahinda Padmasiri and Malinda Padmasiri, achieved an all-time record price at yesterday’s weekly tea auction by securing an attractive price of Rs. 1,150 per kg for the OP1 grade in the Low Grown category. The teas were purchased by Akbar Brothers Ltd. The sale was conducted by Ceylon Tea Brokers Plc.
