Tannin showcased at Xiamen Tea Fair, China

Asia Tea Packaging Limited, a subsidiary of the Asia Capital Group, participated at the recently held ‘Xiamen Tea Fair 2012,’ held in Xiamen, China. The fair featured over 1,000 booths dedicated exclusively to showcasing the newest in tea and the industry.

The team from Asia Tea Packaging attended the fair along with representatives from the National Chamber of Exporters, with the From left: Ajith Perera (Asia Tea),  Shiham Markar (Director – Trade Promotions, National Chamber of Exporters), and Damitha Rathnayake (General Manager, Asia Tea Packaging) at the Tannin booth at the fairintention of popularising the Tannin brand in China and to conduct market research on the tea drinking habits of the Chinese general population.

Speaking about the fair General Manager Damitha Rathnayake said that the response was very good with many inquiries for Tannin as well as Ceylon Tea. “We are confident that much business will be generated in the near future as a result of our fruitful visit,” he said.

Established in mid 2010, Asia Tea Packaging Limited has within a short span of existence diversified from packaging to doing local sales and even exports. The company’s vision is to give customers a total solution from purchasing the tea at the auction right up to packaging and exporting.

 The company currently handles tea tasting, blending and flavouring in addition to packaging.
