In a bid to give the customers a more wholesome shopping experience, the newest Beverly Street Department Store was opened this week at 772 Galle Road, in the heart of Bambalapitiya with greater focus on lifestyle products from local brands.
The new store themed ‘Bamba Just Got Trendier’, was opened by Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa in the presence of other dignitaries with an atmosphere of excitement and celebration. The store which covers over 26,000 square feet features local and international clothing and lifestyle brands as well as a foot spa, nail studio and express bakery to provide the customers with an all-encompassing experience.
The department store features clothing items such as office wear for men and women, children’s wear and party wear as well as other products such as cosmetics, fragrances and scented candles, bags, stationery and even home décor at affordable prices. The Bambalapitiya store is to cater to every segment of the market, from modestly priced clothing to exclusive designer wear and, is to give prominence to local brands such as Jezza, Mosh, Royal N Regal, Anationz, Zigma Jones, Aya, Parfumerie, Emerald, etc.
Beverly Street is confident that their one-stop-shop concept will set them apart from the array of shops that is speckled along Galle Road.
“What we’re hoping to do with this new department store is bring a different concept to the Galle Road. We’re still doing what we have always done for the past 18 years, which is clothing, but we have also expanded our product lines. We work with a lot of local craftsmen to create unique products for Beverly Street and, we have also branched out to a few other business areas. We have opened up an express bakery, a nail studio and, a massage studio. Moreover, next month, we’re introducing to this outlet our multi cuisine restaurant, Café Beverly that we will operate from of our Rajagiriya branch. Therefore, our goal is to make this a one stop shop for the Beverly customer,” Beverly Street Director Niyoshala Kumar told Daily FT.
The store is to be open throughout the entire year, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. with an objective of making it more convenient to the customers.
