Reuters: Some of the biggest names and fans of fashion made their way to Brooklyn, New York on Monday (June 6) for the annual Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards (CFDA) ceremony.
This year, television personality Kim Kardashian received the first-ever influencer award, while model Naomi Campbell celebrated 32 years in the industry with a Fashion Icon Honor, with her mother by her side. Designer Donatella Versace was presented with the International Award.
The organization, which provides support to American designers, honored their own chairwoman, designer Diane von Furstenberg, with the Swarovski Award for Positive Change.
Raf Simons for Calvin Klein, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen for The Row and Virgil Abloh for Off-White were some of the notable nominees of the evening.
The annual event was hosted by actress Issa Rae.
