Sri Lanka’s leading pay TV operator Dialog Television has signed up as the Official Television Partner for the much vaunted HSBC Colombo Fashion Week 2013, the premier fashion event on the Sri Lankan fashion and design industry calendar. Fashion TV the exclusive fashion channel on Dialog TV is the international media partner for the HSBC Colombo Fashion Week 2013 which will rebroadcast the glitz and glamour of the premier Sri Lankan fashion show. Dialog TV partnership drives the fashion development platform that provides invaluable exposure to a host of talented Sri Lankan designers who will be looking to make their mark or underline their established presence across a wider audience. With the audio-visual media of digital satellite television coming forward to support a strong form of expressive visual artistry in fashion, the latest Colombo Fashion Week will no doubt be an unmitigated success. This edition of the Colombo Fashion Week will focus on a resort wear theme, the highlight of which will be the Resort Wear fashion shows to which the picturesque historical coastal city of Galle will play host for two days. Day 1 will be see the event get under way with the iconic Galle Fort as the setting and the second day will get underway at the beautiful Lighthouse Hotel in Galle. An ideal meeting place for designers, buyers and media, Colombo Fashion Week is considered the backbone of Sri Lanka’s fashion design industry, pushing Sri Lankan designers to create resort-wear collections while enhancing their skills to create season based collections. The event will feature 02 international designers and 15 Sri Lankan designers, with 13 international models & 22 Sri Lankan models taking to the ramp to model their wares.
