Sri Lanka’s leading menswear specialist Hameedia took centre stage at the ‘HSBC Fashion Festival’ which ran from March through to April, 2014. Hameedia Managing Director Fouzul Hameed took centre stage in the men’s category by advising men on current trends and how to dress according to your shape and budget. The fortnight of fashion organised by HSBC was aimed to enable the growing upper and middle segment in Sri Lanka and had over 30 retail partners participating. During the season, Hameedia gave all HSBC credit cardholders fabulous discounts across all Hameedia outlets. Additionally, on 4 April Fouzul Hameed gave a series of talks on menswear trends at the Racecourse, Colombo. On 2 April, at the World Trade Centre (WTC) an exclusive activation took place; where the ten best dressed men were selected for their choice of clothing and their ability to accessories in accordance to their outfit. Out of the ten best dressed individuals, three were shortlisted as finalists in Hameedia’s ‘Best Dressed Men’ category and they received a complimentary mini wardrobe courtesy of Hameedia. Commenting on the partnership, Hameedia Managing Director Fouzul Hameed stated: “we are happy to partner with HSBC in an effort to dress Sri Lanka. Over the years we have seen a tremendous change in the way men in Sri Lanka dress; they are more conscious about their appearance and will take great efforts to look their best. We are glad that Hameedia plays a role in enabling Sri Lankans to do this and I hope the sessions that were planned have allowed you to equip yourself better to dress for every occasion.” Hameedia, established in 1949, has grown to become one of the household and benchmarked menswear brands in Sri Lanka. Renowned for high quality, custom tailoring and ready-made clothes for gents, the men’s clothing specialist multiband retail store also includes brands such as Le Bond, Envoy, Signature, FH, Lee, and adidas to name a few.
