Mueen Saheed found inner peace and all it took was a paint brush, canvas, myriad of colours followed by many sleepless nights and lots of coffee. The effort to awaken the artist within him that was eagerly waiting to emerge was not an easy one but his journey that began in 2006 is a great success.
Mueen never knew he will be able to fulfill his dream of becoming an artist until he started experimenting by himself with the advice given to him by two expert artists.
Mueen’s work is mostly based on abstract art and he uses lot of vibrant hues in his drawings. They are a reflection of energy, freedom and inner peace. They represent a spontaneous expression, flowing freely from the collection of memories from his travels all over the world. Each piece is infused with the rhythm of music which navigates him from the first to the last stroke. His wealth of experience in the gem and jewellery trade has given him a kaleidoscope of ideas and spectrum of colours through which he creates these beautiful pieces of Art. His work is a living, talking, inspiring and refreshing pieces of art.
“I still consider myself an amateur artist and believe that an artist never stops learning; all my paintings are a distinct part of my life, they read my inner feelings say Mueen.
In 2008, Mueen was selected by the Malaysian Art Gallery to participate in the Geo Park Art Exhibition which was held in Langkawi. In 2009, he participated in Expo Art in Malaysia. In 2010, and 2011 he participated in the Tourism Malaysia Art Exhibition, and Laava Exhibition. Locally he has also participated in the KALA POLA Art Exhibition in Colombo.
