Procter & Gamble (P&G) partnered the 10th edition of HSBC Colombo Fashion Week (CFW), supporting the next generation of fashion designers as part of its initiative of ‘Winning Mums’, honouring and paying tribute to the people who have helped the young designers to get to where they are, their mums, their mentors and their pillars of inspiration.
HSBC CFW is a platform which gives young Sri Lankan designers the opportunity to reach a bigger stage in the local and international market to showcase their designs to a wider audience. The HSBC CFW ‘Gen-Next’ award by P&G picks one new Sri Lankan designer with potential, who is then rewarded in terms of exposure and the resources to take his/her craft to the next level.
P&G is a company which is in the business of helping moms, all around the world, recognising that it is the mothers with their enduring commitment to see their child succeed that helps these budding designers get to where they want to be, always supporting them and cheering for them louder than anyone. The ‘Gen-Next’ award by P&G gives these young upcoming designers an opportunity to succeed, a moment all mothers cherish.
