This year the Gen Next Designer Award was awarded to the label Arra, by Sharmila and Punya. Judging the award was Bibi Russell and Prasad Bidapa, who commended the duo for the elegance of their collections with its restrained monochromatic palette and intricate finishing touches on the garments, which were sophisticated and well executed.
The winning designing duo presented a three part collection in cotton and linen that began with pure white and ended in black. The silhouettes were modern and wearable, creating a pleasing look and feeling, which captivated the audience.
