Gauri Khan showcased her new line of collection in collaboration with Satya Paul     Reuters: Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan’s wife Gauri Khan gave an exotic end to the third day of Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) with her debut wild adventure collection in India’s showbiz capital Mumbai. Celebrating 30 years of the brand Satya Paul on Friday (20 March), style icon Gauri’s collection ‘A Tropical Wonder’ was inspired solely by exotic and luxury holidays along with elegance for the young Indian woman. The collection revealed an assortment of sheer tunics, fluid kaftans, versatile shift dresses and elegant sarees as the graceful models walked the ramp. Gauri emphasised on the eye-catchy element of this ‘Tropical Wonder’ which was the colour palette. “Colours are something which I take on to and Satya Paul always uses very vibrant colours. So the way they used colour in their sarees in the past is very inspiring for an artist, so that where you know I got inspired from Satya Paul themselves and their collection,” she said. The third day of the 15th edition of LFW saw big names from Bollywood in attendance including director Karan Johar, actresses Malaika Arora Khan and Genelia D’Souza. Walking further down the ramp, ‘Square Loop’ collection by designer Kanika Sachdeva solved the dilemma of versatile bag options for all purpose. Sachdeva’s collection showcased multipurpose functional bags with minimal styling but offering a clean design sensibility which was contemporary and unisex. “We have tried to induce decisiveness by focusing on things like multi-purpose functionality, mobility styling in which it makes it very feasible to carry it in different occasions,” said Sacheva. Back packs, weekend duffels and laptop bags had all the functionality and space desired. For some glam offerings there were clutches, satchels, totes and delightful small accessories like waist pouches.
