Galadari Hotels appoints two new Board members

Galadari Hotels (Lanka) PLC has appointed two new Board members to its existing Board of Directors. The two new appointments are that of Abdulla Saeed Belyoahah who takes up the position of Chairman of Galadari Hotels (Lanka) PLC, the other appointment is that of Mohamed Yahya Kazi who takes up duties as Director to the board of Galadari Hotels (Lanka) PLC.

Abdulla is a graduate from the American University in Dubai with a degree in Business Administration. He started his professional career with Istithmar, a private equity firm, where he focused on consumer products and real estate.

He is currently a member of the board of directors of Galadari Brothers Co. LLC. Abdulla serves as Director of Debt Management of the Department of Finance, Government of Dubai, and is responsible for the consolidation of Dubai sovereign debt, establishing the Debt Management office and investor relations for the Department of Finance.

He is currently a member of the board of directors of Galadari Brothers Co. LLC.

Abdulla, a non-Executive Director, was appointed to the Board of Emaar Properties PJSC in April 2012 and was also appointed in September 2014 as Board Member of Emaar Malls Group.

Mohamed Yahya Kazi is an experienced and qualified Chartered Accountant and a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He joined the Galadari Group, a multinational company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in 1980. Kazi serves the company for nearly 3 decades in different intensities, with an impressive career portfolio spanning more than 35 years.

Kazi’s career experience was gained by being part of a diversified business conglomerate engaged in various industries ranging from publishing, hospitality, trading, engineering, real estate, travel and tourism to that of entertainment.
