Event to focus on “Unfolding new dimensions in the corporate world”
For the 10th consecutive year, the Association of Corporate Lawyers Sri Lanka (ACL) has organised its annual Corporate Law Conference which will be held on Wednesday, 23 September from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hilton Hotel, Colombo 1.
The theme of this year’s conference will be ‘Unfolding New Dimensions in the Corporate World’. The Chief Guest of the conference will be Acting Chief Justice Chandra Ekanayake and the Guest of Honour will be President’s Counsel Yuwanjana Wijetilleke.
The Conference topics will be on Insurance Law, Banking and Finance Law and HR and Labour Law. The Speakers on Banking and Finance are President’s Counsel Romesh De Silva and President’s Counsel Palitha Kumarasinghe. The session moderator will be Attorney At Law Harsha Fernando and Deputy Solicitor General Susantha Balapatabendy will be in the Panel.
The Speakers on Insurance Law are President’s Counsel Uditha Egalahewa and Ceylinco Life PLC Director Devaan Cooray.
The session moderator will be Court of Appeal Judge A.M.D. Nawaz. Aitken Spence PLC Chief Legal Officer Nimmi Gunaratne will be in the Panel.
The Speaker on HR and Labour Law is Employers Federation of Ceylon (EFC) Director General Kanishka Weerasinghe, while the session moderator is Retired Judge of the Supreme Court and Resident Justice of Appeal, Fiji R.K.S. Sureshchandra. Attorney At Law Arjuna Weerasinghe will be in the Panel.
