A 77-member high-powered business and government delegation from China’s Zhejiang Province will arrive in the country during Mid-November, hunting for business opportunities, including opportunities for cross border mergers and acquisitions.
The delegation will be led by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Zhejiang Provincial Committee and arrive on 23 November.
The delegation will attend the ‘Sri Lanka-China (Zhejiang) Investment and Trade Symposium 2015’ to be held at the Hilton Colombo, which is jointly organised by the CCPIT and the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. The forum will be followed by B2B sessions between the Chinese businessmen and Sri Lankan counterparts.
The delegation is looking for cooperation in the areas of project investment, technology transfer, research and development, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, patent licensing and brand cooperation, products and service subcontract, as well as setting up branches and sales network.
Businesses covering the areas of agriculture, auto parts and components, chemical, construction materials and machinery, e-Commerce, energy, fishery and forestry, food processing, garments, infrastructure, service industry, textiles and trading will be among the delegate participants.
