Abeywardane Constructions bags ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ at SABEA 2021

Abeywardane Constructions Ltd., a leading company in the construction field, became the proud winner of coveted ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ Award (Construction Industry) at the South Asian Business Excellence Awards 2021 which was held recently at Monash Imperial with former President Maithripala Sirisena and Minister Dayasiri Jayasekera attending as Chief Guests. The annual grand event was organised by South Asian Partnership Summit to recognize top players in the business world.

Abeywardane Constructions has earned a name as a registered contractor who has successfully completed massive constructions including highways, bridges, canals and multi storey buildings. Founded in 1990 the company won the award of Excellence in Irrigation Sector at NCASL awards in 2007 for its project of water supply, irrigation, canal reconstructions and rehabilitation of Damminkandegama.

Thereafter Abeywardane Constructions continued to receive similar awards for successful completion of many projects in 2008, 2010, 2011, 2014, 2015 and 2016. Receiving Janabhimani awards in 2017, 2018 and BWIO gold award was a turning point in its journey. The company has been awarded with ISO 9001:2015 quality certification. 

Commenting on the prestigious achievement, Abeywardane Constructions MD B.M.W.
