Al-Futtaim Group member Orient Group President Omer Hassan Elamin met with Board of Investment Chairman Dinesh Weerakkody and officials of both BOI and the Colombo Port City Economic Commission to discuss investment opportunities in both Colombo Port City and on shore. Established in the 1930s as a trading business, Al-Futtaim is one of the most progressive regional family business houses headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Its existing investment in Sri Lanka includes AMW and Orient Insurance. Several officials from the Orient Group participated in the discussions at the BOI office
