All-time record price for Uplands Tea Factory

Uplands Tea Factory located in Gampola, Kandy established yet another record price of Rs. 2,800 per kilogram for a PKE1 grade and Rs. 2,200 per kilo for a BOP grade in the medium grown category, at the auction held on 15 and 16 October.

This surpassed their previous record price of Rs. 2,550 for PKE1 grade, reflecting a significant achievement.

Uplands Tea Factory is owned by P. Sawarimuttu Retti & Sons Ltd., and the team is keen on producing premium quality teas for weekly tea auctions which was bought for premium blends by the buyer community.

This invoice of tea was purchased by M/S Shan Teas Ltd., and the sale was conducted by Mercantile Produce Brokers Ltd.
