The Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Warsaw C.A.H.M. Wijeratne met with President of the Polish Chamber of Tourism Pawel Niewiadomski at the Embassy recently.
Polish Chamber of Tourism is the largest organisation founded by the tourism industry and operating all over the country. The Chamber’s role became extremely important after Poland joined the European Union. The Chamber has 500 members with about 1,000 offices spread through the country.
During the meeting with the Ambassador, the President of the Chamber agreed to host the visiting Sri Lankan trade delegation at his office on 25 April and discuss matters of mutual interest. They will also explore the possibility of having collaborative arrangement for future cooperation in the tourism sector. The Chamber members and the organisation itself cooperate with international associations like The United Federation of Travel Agents’ Association, The European Travel Agents’ and Tour Operators’ Associations, The American Society of Travel Agents, German Association of Travel Agencies, as well as local travel agencies and associations.
