American Premium Water marks 30 years of hydration excellence on World Water Day

As the world salutes the importance of fresh water on World Water Day, American Premium Water celebrated 30 years as Sri Lanka’s leading premium bottled water brand. 

For three decades, it has been more than just a hydration provider, it has been a trusted companion, delivering purity and quality in every drop.

This year’s World Water Day theme, ‘Glacier Preservation,’ highlights the need to protect global freshwater resources. American Premium Water, sourced from a naturally mineral-rich, 200-foot-deep well, ensures purity while supporting environmental stewardship. By tapping into deep water reserves, the brand promotes responsible groundwater management to the benefit of both communities and ecosystems.

Founded in partnership with American Liquid Packaging Systems Inc., the brand introduced cutting-edge purification technology to Sri Lanka three decades ago. Today, it stands as the nation’s No.1 bottled water brand, trusted for both in-home and on-the- go hydration. Its success is built on core values of Quality, Service, Excellence, Integrity, and Teamwork.

To mark this milestone, American Premium Water unveiled a refreshed brand identity. The new logo, featuring the proudly owned water drop symbol, now integrates the letter ‘A,’ to symbolise the vitality of pure water, while its sky-blue colour represents trust, refreshment, and well-being.

The company is also launching the “iCan” campaign, to inspire resilience and confidence among Sri Lankans. Reinforcing hydration as a foundation for strength and endurance, the campaign encourages individuals to embrace challenges and live life to the fullest.

Beyond hydration, American Premium Water has made significant social and environmental contributions. Over the past decade, the company has donated over 800,000 litres of clean drinking water to underserved communities and empowered 1.6 million individuals to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. With 45% of its workforce comprising women and representation of 36% in leadership, the company is committed to gender equality. It directly employs over 640 individuals, positively impacting the livelihoods of over 3,000 Sri Lankans.

Furthering its commitment to environmental responsibility, American Premium Water pioneered the launch of sustainable glass bottles in 2013 and has upcycled over 360 MT of plastic for the last decade to reduce plastic waste.
