Manufactured and distributed by Darley Butler & Company Ltd., Amritha Incense Sticks, a leader and pioneer in the locally produced incense stick market, has achieved a historic milestone by acquiring Sri Lanka Standards (SLS) Certification. This certification guarantees that Amritha Incense Sticks are manufactured in compliance with the highest safety, quality and environmental standards set by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI).
Established in 2011, Amritha has played a pivotal role in the transformation of locally produced incense sticks, through unique fragrances and high-quality incense sticks at affordable prices. The achievement of the SLS certification reinforces Amritha’s commitment to produce safe and high-quality products that comply with the highest standards in the industry.
“We are proud to be the first manufacturer of incense sticks to obtain SLS Certification, a testament to our commitment to safety and high quality,” said Darley Butler & Company Director Sanjeewa Gunawardena explaining the significance of the achievement, “This certification will help reassure customers that our products are of the highest quality, whilst also helping to add credibility to the brand, as we look to expand further into the overseas markets, whilst currently exporting Amritha to the UK, France, Germany, Italy, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. We take this opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to continue to produce the highest-quality incense sticks in Sri Lanka.”
SLS Certification will help Amritha gain even more export opportunities, as it is recognised worldwide as a symbol of quality and safety. This achievement is not only important for the company but also to the Sri Lankan incense stick industry, as this sets a benchmark for other local manufacturers to strive to achieve. Amritha has also been an innovation leader in the space, launching many new and unique fragrances and incense stick products over the years, catering to diverse segments of the market.
