Ancoombra and Inverness achieve records at tea auctions

At Sale No. 12, the first of the eAuction held on 4-8 April, an invoice of Ancoombra Pekoe1 sold at an all-time record price of Rs. 990 per kg. This tea was purchased by Meezan and Company and the factory is owed by I.M. Mohideen.

In addition, an Inverness FBOPF1 sold at Rs. 1000 per kg, which equals the all-time record for Western High Growns, bought by Mabroc Teas Ltd.

This estate is owned by Kelani Valley Plantations PLC, which is a part of the Hayleys Group. Both teas’ invoices were marketed by Asia Siyaka Commodities PLC.
