Arava glitters in gold at Entrepreneur of the Year

Arava Ltd., a leading exporter of coconut-based products, proved its excellence with receiving two Gold Awards at the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ Awards organised by the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industries in Sri Lanka (FCCISL). 

Gold Award for Large Category, National Level and Gold Award for Large Category, North Western Provincial Level were the two coveted awards bestowed upon Arava Ltd. Chairman and Founder Asiri Gurusinghe. The flagship event of FCCISL, which has helped many Sri Lankan entrepreneurs reach global standards in terms of productivity and value creation, was recently held at the BMICH with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa gracing the occasion as Chief Guest. 

With a humble start in 2013, Arava Ltd. has come a long way to become a leading exporter who can boast of exporting thousands of containers annually, in addition to having established two subsidiary companies related to export services. Today the company owns three fully fitted-out manufacturing locations in Sri Lanka with a work force strength exceeding 350. As an ISO 9001:2015 certified company, Arava Ltd. is focused on manufacturing and exporting high-quality unique products from Sri Lanka.

Presently the company manufactures 10-12 product range made out of coconut-based products coir fibre bales, cocopeat, grow bags, cut coco fibre and husk chips to name a few, which is exported to over 46 countries around the world covering seven continents.
