Asia Capital strengthens Board with 3 INE Directors

Asia Capital PLC has announced the appointment of three distinguished professionals, Adrian Perera, Bradley Emerson, and Ganesh Shanmugam, as Independent Non-Executive Directors to its Board.

Their extensive experience across finance, banking, education, corporate governance, and logistics will further enhance the company’s strategic vision and corporate governance framework according to a company statement.

Adrian Perera, a seasoned finance and corporate governance expert, is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK), and several other prestigious professional bodies. With a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, he brings over 30 years of experience spanning banking, finance, treasury, hospitality, agriculture, manufacturing, and information technology. His leadership roles include serving as the former Chairman of ACCA Sri Lanka and holding key executive positions in various leading organisations.

Bradley Emerson, a highly accomplished banking and education professional, boasts over four decades of expertise. A Fellow of the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka, he holds an MBA from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA). Emerson’s career has seen him hold pivotal leadership roles at Commercial Bank, Nations Trust Bank, and Pan Asia Bank, where he was instrumental in its transformation. He also played a key role in expanding CIMA (UK) across South Asia and the Middle East and has contributed to higher education through his work with the Imperial Institute of Higher Education.

Ganesh Shanmugam, a seasoned leader in logistics and supply chain management, currently serves as a Director at Aramex (M) Sdn. Bhd., having previously held leadership roles as Country Manager and Managing Director at Avanti Worldwide Express Sdn. Bhd. With an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Southern Illinois University, USA, he brings over two decades of expertise in operations management, customs regulations, and strategic growth.
