Ath Pavura, one of Sri Lanka’s top 5 most viewed reality TV series that encourages social entrepreneurship and impact investing won two key awards at the recently concluded ZeroOne Digital Marketing awards presented by Sri Lanka Telecom; namely: The Best Digital Integrated Campaign in the NGO category and the overall winner in the Best Digital Integrated Campaign category.
While it was virtually unknown in 2017, Ath Pavura is now one of the highest viewed TV programs in Sri Lanka. The objective was to not only establish Ath Pavura as a key catalyst of change, but also to attract potential social entrepreneurship project applications and investors to participate actively in the social entrepreneurship space. This was done via a persona driven lead generation strategy that used various channels such as Facebook (display, leadgen), Google (remarketing, display) and Linkedin (to attract investors).
Ath Pavura partnered with Enfection, a performance marketing agency based in Colombo during this phase of the campaign.
Ath Pavura co-founded by Chandula Abeywickrema and Eranda Ginige. It is jointly owned by Lanka Impact Investing Network (LIIN) and Social Enterprise Lanka (Selanka) and is Sri Lanka’s pioneering TV reality show for Social Entrepreneurs and Impact Investors. The show is hosted by the country’s premier TV channel ITN. Ath Pavura is currently aired every Sunday from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. on ITN, where four social entrepreneurs pitch to gain access to private equity from impact investors.
