The Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS) will launch the Youth Leadership Academy to equip aspiring young Sri Lankans with leadership skills to enable them to become successful leaders of change.

This course is offered to Advanced Level qualified youth and graduates who are employed or awaiting employment between 19 and 35 years of age.

Students will have an opportunity to expand their critical thinking and analytical abilities.  These proficiencies will serve to become efficient and responsible leaders in their communities, workplace and wider society.

The course will include metrics, dialogues, and interactions with leaders of business and professing, academics and artists, to learn from their life experiences.

Sessions will be held at the BCIS premises on Saturdays and Sundays for a duration of six months, starting from 15 January 2022, onwards.

The lectures will be conducted by an eminent panel of academics from leading universities and several prominent management and corporate trainers. Dr. Sunil Wijesiriwardena will function as the Director of the above program.
