BELA International and Germany’s MT felicitate customers

BELA International Ltd. (BELA) and Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH, (MR) recently felicitated their valuable customers based in Sri Lanka in appreciation for the trust placed in the products and services of MR in a grand ceremony at Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel.

Over 300 invited customers participated at the event and made it a memorable and unforgettable evening. MR is a 150 year old company located in the South of Germany more specifically Bavaria, Regensburg. MR is the main supplier of On Load Tap Changer equipment and Transformer accessories, regulating more than 50% of the world’s power flow, reliably, securely and competently.

MR is collaborating with BELA since 1999. MR was providing Products and Services in Sri Lanka for many decades. Incidentally it was highlighted during the event that the first delivery of an On‐Load Tap‐Changer (OLTC) equipment to Sri Lanka was on March 15, 1956, just one day before the current customer event took place, 62years ago. 

The guests were delighted that Ambassador of Germany Jörn Rohde graced the occasion. He also addressed the gathering with regard to the relationship between Germany and Sri Lanka. Especially the personal bonds between people make our friendship strong. The relationship between Germany and Sri Lanka spans more than 65 years. It is also a partnership based on shared values of democracy and human rights. Germany continues to be a reliable partner for Sri Lanka in its efforts for reconciliation, democratic and economic reform.
