Balangoda Estate achieves Rs. 8,150 for FBOPFSP grade

At the Colombo Tea auction held on 7/8 June 2022, an Invoice of FBOPFSP sold under the Maratenne Mark of Balangoda Estate realised an exceptional price of Rs. 8,150/- per kg and surpassed the previous record of Rs. 7,600 for this grade. This factory also achieved two other records this year.

This tea was bought by Ceylon Fresh Teas Ltd. Balangoda Estate belongs to Balangoda Plantations PLC a member of the Melsta Corp., and its Manager is Lal Ekanayake.
