The most anticipated world’s biggest book sale event of the year, the Big Bad Wolf Online Book Sale, has returned to all book lovers all over Sri Lanka, starting from 3 November to 14 November. Grasshoppers.lk is the proud delivery partner for the second consecutive time.
The world’s biggest book sale returned to Sri Lanka again via online due to the unprecedented challenges brought about by the pandemic as in most of the countries including Malaysia borders are still closed for travel. Despite these trying times, Big Bad Wolf Books wants to ensure that it continues to serve its loyal customers and fans alike by offering them the option of shopping from the safety and comfort of their homes.
Big Bad Wolf Books was launched in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2009, as the brainchild of BookXcess Founders Andrew Yap and Jacqueline Ng. The primary mission is to cultivate reading habits, increase English literacy worldwide and build a new generation of readers, by making books more affordable and accessible, to everyone.
Since its inception, the Big Bad Wolf Books Sale has evolved tremendously, going global and touring 34 cities in 13 countries including Malaysia, such as Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Myanmar, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, and the United Arab Emirates. Co-Founder Dulith Herath said: “This partnership is our new step towards making good books more accessible to readers locally. Grasshoppers play a big role as a cross border logistic provider. Sri Lankan consumers who purchase online books from Big Bad Wolf sale have the accessibility to trace the package till it is delivered to consumers’ doorsteps. Global partnership with BBW is our latest international collaboration and is a real groundbreaker. The Grasshoppers team is working with BBW in Sri Lanka to start delivering packages around the island.” Grasshoppers is an award-winning logistics operation and is part of the Kapruka business group that pioneered e-commerce in Sri Lanka.
