The Oxford Global Society will be hosting a panel discussion on the topic “IMF: Long Overdue Reforms” with Sri Lanka as a case in point on 27 October.
The Oxford Global Society is a policy think tank which is headed by University of Oxford Emeritus Professor and Princeton University Visiting Lecturer Professor Denis Galligan. Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe is the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, and he served as the former Alternate Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund. Talal Rafi is an economist and was a member of the Deloitte Global Economist Network. He is an Expert Member of the World Economic Forum and a regular columnist for the International Monetary Fund.
The panel will also include Member of Sri Lanka’s Presidential Advisory Group and a former Director of the International Monetary Fund Dr. Sharmini Coorey, and State Bank of Pakistan former Governor and Harvard University Senior Fellow Dr. Reza Baqir.
