In the aftermath of a series of attacks that took place in various locations in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday and the riots in early May, the collective trauma and distress that followed left the country shaken and emotionally distraught, and unable to come to terms with what has happened.
This program was developed with a clear understanding of the above, and to facilitate a platform where attendees are supported to understand the events that took place since these incidents, and create a safe space for them to express their emotions and manage them in a healthy manner.
CIMA Sri Lanka has organised this program to support its members with skills of constructive conversations in post conflict, emotional disclosure, positive copying and to encourage ethnic harmony within the organisations and their communities.
Rozaine Cooray, BSc, PgDip, MSc, Organizational Psychologist, Founder – Forté Consultancy, will conduct this session and the content at the program will include leadership and decision-making during VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, certainty and ambiguity) times, awareness of our own biases as leaders, being a catalyst of diversity through constructive conversations, supporting others: How to facilitate emotional disclosure and positive coping and understanding grief (personal and collective) as well as enabling growth in teams and families.
The program will be conducted at the CIMA Sri Lanka Division today, 30 May, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and is offered free of charge for all CIMA Members.
