CIPM inaugurates fourth regional centre in Gampaha strengthening access to HR programs and Professional Development

CIPM Sri Lanka – the nation's leader in human resource management, has ceremoniously inaugurated its Fourth Regional Study Centre in Gampaha, strengthening access to HR programs and Professional Development for individuals and students residing in nearby communities. The opening was graced by the distinguished presence of CIPM President Jayantha Amarasinghe. The Secretary, Divisional Secretariat Gampaha, was also present as a Special Guest at the ceremony. CIPM represented Infrastructure Development Chairman Colonel Saman Jayawickrema; CEO Chris Obeyesekere; Professional and Academic Affairs Director G. Weerathunga; Senior Officers Director of Operations Himali Dasanayake and staff of the institute. In addition, well-wishers were also present at the event. Noteworthily, CIPM Gampaha will be the country's Fourth Regional Centre, joining other principal locations such as Kandy, Galle and Kurunegala, offering HR skills enhancement programmes and facilities. 

The Gampaha Centre will provide an ideal opportunity for students, HR Practitioners, Line managers and other individuals in multiple disciplines of management to embark on professional HR studies, enabling them to become HR professionals. Addressing the gathering, CIPM President Jayantha Amarasinghe noted: “As an Institute, we are sensitive to the need to advance HRM professional development in Sri Lanka and upgrade the knowledge of HR Practitioners. This will create acceptable standards to enhance the professional quality of the HRM fraternity in our country and position HRM strategically for the benefit of all industries and organisations across the nation.” 

He added: “CIPM will continue to work towards achieving its vision whereby the institute will be fulfilling the expectations of the powers vested in it by the Act of Incorporation No.24 of 1976 and amendment Act No.31 of 2018 which conferred Chartered status to the institute.” With a history of over 60 years, CIPM SL is recognised as the nation's pioneer and trendsetter in the HRM sector through its vast range of HRM-related programmes and examinations. The vision, mission, values and objectives of the Institute focus on setting the highest standards and achieving the best results in HR Management. CIPM is affiliated with the Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resource Management and the World Federation of People Management Associations.
