The Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA) will hold a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) webinar on “The Evolving Landscape of Management Accountants in the Age of AI” tomorrow (2 May) from 3.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. via online zoom platform.
The objective of this webinar is to delve into the transformative era we live in - the Age of Artificial Intelligence (AI). It explores the impact of AI on management accountancy, specifically how it is reshaping the profession and existing opportunities it presents and discusses some of the risks and ethical considerations. Also discuss some cases on currently available AI technology especially with Generative AI applications like copilots, ChatGPT, Gemini and upcoming tools, concluding with future trends and outlook of AI landscape.
The welcome address and introduction will be delivered by the CMA Sri Lanka Founder President Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala. The presentation on ‘the Evolving Landscape of Management Accountants in the Age of AI’ delivered by LOLC Holdings PLC Director Conrad Dias who is responsible for driving digital and AI strategy globally.
The webinar will be moderated by CMA Sri Lanka Council Member and University Sri Jayewardenepura Head of the Department of Accounting Senior Prof. Kennedy Gunawardena,
The webinar will conclude with a question and answer session where participants will also have an opportunity to discuss practical applications and obtain clarifications via chat option.
