The Cabinet of Ministers on Monday cleared a proposal to submit the revised orders published under the Employees’ Trust Fund Act for Parliament approval.
The ETF orders made under the Employees’ Trust Fund Act No. 46 of 1980 were published in Government Gazette No. 125 on 23 January 1981. On 22 February 2022, the said orders were again revised by the orders published in Extraordinary Gazette No. 2311/39.
The proposal to this effect tabled by President Ranil Wickremesinghe in his capacity as the Finance, Economic Stabilisation and National Policies Minister was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers at its meeting on Monday.
