Cabinet nod to gazette Bill for National Water Supply and Drainage Board 

The Cabinet of Ministers on Monday approved publishing the Bill for National Water Supply and Drainage Board (Amendment) in the Gazette and thereafter table the same in the Parliament for approval.

The move follows clearance received to the Bill prepared by the Legal Draftsman from the Attorney General. 

On 2 May 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers approved to amend the National Water Supply and Drainage Board Act. The proposal to this effect submitted by Water Supply and Estate Infrastructure Facilities Development Minister Jeevan Thondaman was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
