Cabinet nod to purchase paddy at Rs. 50 through PMB

Cabinet yesterday gave the go-ahead to purchase paddy at Rs. 50 per kilo during the upcoming Maha season.

The proposal for the paddy to be purchased by the Paddy Marketing Board (PMD) at this price was made by Minister of Mahaweli, Agriculture, Irrigation and Rural Development Chamal Rajapaksa.
