Ceylon Chamber Academy to hold webinar on tourism and economy

The Chamber Academy, the knowledge arm of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, together with Facebook and SLAITO will be hosting a webinar on the topic of ‘The Importance of Tourism to the Economy’.

The discussion will focus on the tourism industry which is one of the larger employment generators to Sri Lanka, employing three million direct and indirect individuals. The industry has an ambitious target of welcoming seven million tourists by 2025, while growing earnings to $ 10 billion per year in the process.

The expert panel will be represented by Facebook Partner – Emerging Markets Anand Tilak, Galle Face Hotel Vice President Anura Lokuhetty, Journeyscapes Ltd. Managing Director Devindre Seneratne and Clootrack – Sri Lanka, Maldives and Pakistan President/Country Head Dr. Rohantha Athukorala.

The discussion will be followed by an interactive question and answer session.
