Ceylon Tenny Tea Managing Director H.D. Tenison George receives the award
Ceylon Tenny Tea Ltd., a pioneer among the new breed of companies that take the Ceylon Tea brand to greater heights, bagged the Gold Award in the Tea and Tea Products Category (Large Scale) at the National Exports Awards 2023, organised by the National Chamber of Exporters (NCE).
The award ceremony organised by the NCE for the 31st consecutive year was held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo on 8 December. Ceylon Tenny Tea Managing Director H.D. Tenison George received the prestigious award.
Established by George in 2013, Ceylon Tenny Tea has won international recognition within a short span of time due to their innovative, high-quality products. The company hires the most consummate professionals, including experienced and decorated tea tasters, to guarantee the best product for their customers, and uses the latest machinery in the production process. The company focuses on four main areas: tea bags, tea packets, bulk products, and value-added teas. Among their most popular export-oriented products are Black Tea, Green Tea, Herbal Tea, and Flavoured Tea. The Flavoured Tea comes in 14 different varieties, including orange, mango, mint, apple, strawberry, and mixed fruits.
Ceylon Tenny Tea frequently takes part in international tea trade fairs and exports their products to several parts of the world such as Saudi Arabia, The United Arab Emirates, Russia, The United Kingdom, The United States of America, Canada, Sweden, Iran, Azerbaijan, Australia, Libya, Indonesia, Turkey, and Taiwan under the Tenny Leaf, AL ASR, Jamal brands, etc. Ceylon Tenny Tea’s main factory is located at Kelaniya. Over the past, they have received many local and international awards, and have obtained the relevant quality certifications, including the ISO 22000 quality certificate.
