The Chamber of Constr-uction Industry of Sri Lanka (CCI) will hold its 20th Annual General Meeting today (3) at Ruby Function Room, Marino Beach Hotel, Colombo 3, at 6:00 p.m.
The current President of the Chamber Arch Jayatha Perera would preside over this event.
The Chamber has positioned itself as the main voice on issues affecting the construction industry and is committed to protecting and promoting the sector.
A special feature following the AGM would be a guest speaker from the University of Peradeniya Prof. P. P. A. Wasantha Athukorala and deliver his speech on “State of Economy and Impacts of IMF Package Particularly to Construction Sector”.
This will be followed by the launch of the CCI Web Directory for Housing and Construction Materials and Services. Thereafter a fellowship amongst the members will be held.
The President and the Board of Management of CCI with guidance from the Council has done much to address the prevailing situation facing the construction Industry.
It is hoped that with the economic situation gradually improving they will see better days ahead.
