Colombo City Restaurant Association welcomes new Govt.

Colombo City Restaurant Association (CCRC), in a statement yesterday, congratulated President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa for their victory at the General Elections and welcomed the new Members of Parliament.

The CCRC, representing the city restaurants employing over 5000 staff, has been adversely affected, along with the rest of the hospitality industry, and a strong Government in place will definitely assist in reviving the post COVID-19 situation.

“We look forward to working with the new Government to revive the restaurant business, which will in turn assist and retaining jobs and support the overall economy,” CCRC President Harpo Gooneratne said in the statement.
