Court Lodge Estate achieves all-time record price

Court Lodge Estate achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 1,530 per kg for an OPA grade in the Nuwara Eliya category at the weekly online tea auctions held on 8-9 November 2022.

This Estate is situated in Kandapola, Nuwara Eliya at an elevation of 2,012 metres above sea level and benefits from both the Western and Eastern quality seasons.

During the South Western monsoon season, moisture is deposited on the West of the central hills and strong desiccating winds during June to September produces a strange ingenuous character in the shoots that are unique to this area. During the North East monsoon, the wind directions are reversed and a similar change takes place, which helps to produce some excellent teas during February to April. Court Lodge Estate carries out a Rotorvane/Orthodox manufacture, which has a distinctive Nuwara Eliya character. This Estate is Rainforest Alliance and ISO 9001:2015 certified.
