DSI shines at NCE Awards 2020

D. Samson Industries Ltd. (DSI) recently won the prestigious Gold Award at the National Chamber of Exporters Awards 2020 (NCE 2020) under the Large Category of Leather and Leather-based Products sector. 

D. Samson Industries Ltd. (DSI) established in 1962 is the market leader in manufacturing, retailing and leading exporter of footwear in Sri Lanka. The Company currently produces more than 30 million pairs of footwear per year. D Samson Industries Ltd. manufacturing plant is accredited with ISO 9001:2015 system certification and meet social compliance such as SMETA, DISNEY, etc.

DSI’s focus on innovative environmentally-friendly products has made it possible to launch several new footwear products ranging from FSC/Vegan/Organic/GOTS certified rubber flip flops, canvas shoes, rubber boots, recycled rubber flip flops and canvas shoes with recycled material. 

Gaining rapid global reach over the years, DSI through its international sales offices in UK, Dubai, Australia and India supply over 50 countries worldwide and has been seen as a preferred supplier to many reputed international brands. Furthermore, DSI owns two international footwear brands ‘Lakeland’ which is marketed in the UK and ‘Souls’ marketed in Australia. 

“DSI has been instrumental in taking their homegrown brand ‘Waves’ internationally with global presence in over 10 countries. ‘Waves’ flip flops are FSC certified natural rubber flip-flops which is vegan plastic free, biodegradable and organic which make it the sustainable choice for many international clients,” said DSI Executive Director in charge of Marketing and Sales Dilshan Rajapaksa.
